Causes & Symptoms for Kalmia latifolia

• Severe neuralgia of the face  right-sided, action on muscles, on the tendons, on the joints, along the course of the nerves, indicates Kalmia.
• The pains in this medicine shift suddenly with nausea and slow pulse frequently accompanying, wandering pains, and they are aggravated from motion.
• It accelerates the heart’s action; in larger it moderates it greatly.
• Pains spread from the centers to the extremities, the wandering pains go downwards, down the arms, down the back and down the legs
• Difficulties of breathing, difficult heart action, with albuminuria is relieved with help of Kalmia.

Mind and Head

Anxiety and palpitation.

Pain in front and temporal region from head to nape and to teeth, moving backward down neck and outwardly on both side and drowsy feeling

Kalmia resolves the recurrent headaches associated with cardiac affections.

Flushing of the face, with vertigo indicates Kalmia latifolia.

Eyes, ear, nose

Pain in eyes, worse on turning them with stiffness, in muscles round eyes and lids indicates Kalmia.

Stitches in and behind right ear, in neck and thighs, at night.

Coryza, with increased sense of smell, with sneezing, dulness, headache, and hoarseness.

Mouth and Throat

Dry Lips swollen, dry, stiff, stitches and tearing, tingling in salivary glands, immediately after eating is relieved with Kalmia latifolia

Sensation of dryness in throat, actual dryness with aching pains, hoarseness with coryza.

Stitches and tearing in bones of jaw and face indicates Kalmia.

Stomach and abdomen

Nausea, everything black before eyes, bilious attacks, with nausea, vertigo, and headache, rumbling and sense of emptiness in stomach indicates Kalmia.

Pit of stomach sore to touch worse sitting in stooping position.

Sensation of weakness in abdomen extending to throat, better by eructation.

Sudden pains in paroxysms, across abdomen, above umbilicus, from lower border of liver downward is resolved with Kalmia.

Stool and Anus

Neuralgia of bowels in married women is relieved with Kalmia.

Urinary complaints

Albuminuria with pains in lower limbs, profuse micturition better headache, in small quantities, it feels hot.

Sharp pains in lumbar region indicate Kalmia.

Male complaints

Pain in right testicle, morning, lasting erections, without desire indicate Kalmia.

Female complaints

Menses to soon, regular but painful or suppressed, with pain in limbs and back and inside of thighs during menses.

Neck and Back

Pain from neck down arm, pain down back, as if it would break; in localized regions of spine; through shoulders.

Neck tender to touch, pain sticking in lumbar region worse on motion, comes and goes indicate Kalmia.

Extremities

Pains from hips to knees and feet. Stitching in hands, hands feel as if they had been sprained.

Weakness, numbness, pricking, and sense of coldness in limbs.

Pains sometimes shoot like lightning, again they tear along the nerves, along the sciatic down through the calves is resolved with Kalmia.

The bone pains, pains in the shin bones come on at night.

Unable to walk, ankles swollen, pains, though mostly confined to ankles.

Skin

Red inflamed places here and there, dry skin.

Generalities

Pains shoot downwards with numbness, pains come and go with the sun.

Severe pain in cardiac region, slow, small pulse with  valvular disease.

Cardiac trouble of rheumatic origin indicate Kalmia.

Fluttering of heart, with anxiety with dyspnoea and pressure from epigastrium toward the heart worse leaning forward, palpitations.

Side effects of Kalmia latifolia 

There are no such side effects. But every medicine should be taken following the rules as given. 

It is safe to take the medicine even if you are on other mode of medication like allopathy medicines, ayurvedic etc.

Dosage and rules while taking Kalmia latifolia

Take 10 drops in half cup of water three times a day.

Precautions while taking Kalmia latifolia
