Common Name: Jatropha, Purging Nut

Causes & Symptoms for Jatropha Curcas

• Anxiety, with burning in the stomach and coldness of the body.
• Sudden desire for stool. 
• Water is almost immediately vomited.
• Cramps are predominant, gripping cutting pains, sensation as if balls were rolling together in abdomen.

Mind and Head

Anxiety, great general prostration of strength, indifference to pain.

Heat and heaviness of the head is relieved with this remedy.

Headache, with nausea and vomiting aggravated in the morning indicates Jatropha.

Violent pressing pain in the temples.

Eyes, ear, nose

Twitching of the left upper eyelid. Itching and smarting of margins of lids is relieved with this remedy.

Burning in the ears, with heat in the head.

Itching of the nose while eating, Ulcers in the nose indicates Jatropha

Mouth and Throat

Painful cracked lips.

Numbness of the tongue, with heat and dryness of the mouth.

Dryness of the throat indicates Jatropha.

Stomach and abdomen

Violent, irresistible thirst, when drinking cold water. Vomiting of large quantities with spasmodically contracting pains in the stomach indicates Jatropha.

Heat and burning in the stomach at the same time watery diarrhoea.

The abdomen is swollen and is sore to the touch. Rumbling in the abdomen, with colic.

The vomiting, evacuations are thick, albuminous, lumpy.

Stool and Anus

Urgent gushing stools, Sudden desire for stool, and constant noise of liquids in abdomen, especially left side 

Stitches in anus and rectum indicates Jatropha.

Urinary complaints

Frequent desire to urinate.

Male complaints

Drawing in genitals, extending along inner side right thigh to navel indicates Jatropha

Neck and Back

Stiffness of the muscles on the forehead and neck.

Extremities

Cramps in the muscles of the upper arms and calves of legs, the heels are very sensitive when walking on them.

Tingling in the toes, pain in the limbs and joints indicates Jatropha.

Skin

Irritation and pimples of the skin.

Generalities

Coldness of the whole body, better, by placing hands in cold water.

Prostration, with frequent and weak pulse, worse by slightest exertion.

Itching between fingers, in palms, between toes in bed at night, first worse then better by rubbing.

Side effects of Jatropha Curcas 

There are no such side effects. But every medicine should be taken following the rules as given. 

It is safe to take the medicine even if you are on other mode of medication like allopathy medicines, ayurvedic etc.

Dosage and rules while taking Jatropha Curcas

Take 10 drops in half cup of water three times a day.
